Sterling Business College is located in the centre of Perth, the capital of Western Australia, a cosmopolitan city with a wonderful climate, relaxed atmosphere and modern facilities.

Over 25,000 international students choose to study in Perth and Western Australia each year, thanks to its friendly and relaxed lifestyle, a booming economy and excellent work opportunities.

Appreciation is given to the City of Perth for providing funding support to assist in the development of our website.

The city of Perth has more sunny days each year than any other Australian capital city, with an average of 8 hours of sunshine per day.

We have a mixture of Californian and Mediterranean climates, with mild winters and hot dry summers. The skies above Perth are often bright blue and cloudless. The warm weather and beautiful beaches along the Indian Ocean provide the city’s inhabitants with an enviable outdoor lifestyle.

The temperate climate has helped Western Australia earn an international reputation for its food and wine regions, attracting tourists from other parts of Australia and around the world.

Living costs in Perth can vary, depending upon where and how you decide to live.

Transperth operates the bus, train and ferry services around the city of Perth and outer areas.

Fares are based on different zones. There are nine zones and these are defined by circles with Perth city in the centre. Fares are calculated by the number of zones you travel through on each journey and you buy a ticket that covers these zones.

Your ticket doesn’t just entitle you to a single ride – it buys you up to 3 hours of travel on any Transperth bus, train, or ferry service.

Full time students of Sterling Business College receive a ‘Smartrider’ card free of charge. This allows them to travel at the concession rate.

Sterling Business College is located in the Free Transit Zone (for buses) and a SmartRider Free Transit Zone (for trains) within the Perth city boundaries. We are also 10 minutes walk from Perth central train station and 3 minutes from McIver train station.

Bus stops are located right outside the College. The Blue CAT stops at a point that is a 5 minute walk from the College.
