CHC30113 CERTIFICATE III IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE

Start to build a solid career in education and care with the skills and knowledge you need to inspire and support children as an Early Childhood Educator. You will learn all about child development to be able to provide quality, professional care to children aged 0 – 5 years.

You will learn skills to provide a positive nurturing environment, offering programs that challenge children to develop their intellectual, physical and social skills.

After achieving this qualification, you will have the knowledge and skills required to work as a childhood educator in a range of early childhood education settings.

DURATION
9 months  (27 weeks of training plus some mid-semester breaks)

STUDY MODE
Face to face training and one day per week industry placement

TRAINING LOCATION
On campus at Sterling Business College | Perth – 65 Newcastle St Perth
Plus vocational placement (120 hours minimum) at an approved Early Learning Centre.  This is arranged by Sterling Business College.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS 
Completion of 10 years of schooling or equivalent

A balance of theoretical and practical skills allows you to address issues facing families and children within society. You will supplement the trainig provided by our trainers with an ongoing practical work placement. Overall, the training prepares you for a dynamic and rewarding career working as qualified staff in a range of centre based care settings with children aged from birth to five years old.

DURATION
One year (37 weeks of training plus mid-semester breaks)

This two-year initiative aims to stimulate training in job growth areas and support industry sectors that are important to the diversification of the WA economy.

Half Price Fees

Lower fees, Local Skills

Through the Lower fees, local skills program, you can now choose from a selection of qualifications and enjoy half-price course fees capped to an annual total of $400 for concession students and youth (ages 15—24), and $1,200 for non-concession students.

Although Jobs and Skills WA courses are subsidised by the Government of Western Australia, students are required to contribute to their training costs.
