COURSE DESCRIPTION
This advanced qualification, trains students to work as qualified staff
with Children's Services, and possibly to progress into management
positions, with experience.
A balance of theoretical
and practical skills allows students to learn to address issues facing
families and children within society. Students are able to supplement the
theory provided by the trainers with an ongoing practical work placement.
Overall the training
prepares graduates for a dynamic and rewarding career working with children
and families.
COURSE DURATION
One year
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Certificate III in Children's Services.
Upon acceptance of
enrolment, students need to provide a current medical clearance, and a
police clearance.

OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates are trained in the competencies required to work as the trained
staff in a range of Centre-based Care settings with children aged from
birth to twelve years old.
