COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course will further develop student’s practical skills and knowledge to develop services and programs to meet identified needs within the community. Students will learn skills in advanced communication, group work, training, community information provision and program development. Students will also learn how to design and deliver programs that are accessible and enhance community participation, and to develop an understanding of the legal and ethical requirements for working in community services. As part of this qualification students undertake a supervised work placement where they will be able to apply the skills and knowledge they have learned.

COURSE DURATION
One Semester - includes a work experience component

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Completion of Year 12 or equivalent, or Certificate III qualification.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates are trained in the competencies required to work in the health or aged care industry, children’s services and disability services industries.
