The Diploma of Management sets the foundation for good management skills with a focus on productivity, leading people and recognising the importance of allocating work to meet time and budget constraints. This course highlights the need to develop sound communication skills with both business contacts and work colleagues, assessing information for accuracy and relevance. Obtaining feedback and translating that across the workplace with a need to instigate new or different work practices to further improve efficiencies or service delivery.
The course provides students with the skills required for a managerial position. Graduates without prior work experience would expect to find employment as assistant managers, a variety of management roles at different levels or in management of a small business. Graduates with related work experience may find employment as office managers or may wish to further their education by studying the Advanced Diploma of Management.
